Acute Visits

Acute visits for colds, rashes, sore throats, minor injuries, and many other types of common illnesses can be treated in our office, usually on the same day. Saving you time and money from having to visit Urgent Care or Emergency Room.
We try to accommodate as many same-day sick visits as possible. Our staff is trained to also help guide parents in keeping patients safe and comfortable through the night if a same-day appointment is not available. Most minor sprains and strains can be treated starting in our office. X rays may need to be ordered and possible referrals may need to be initiated based on finding. This still saves time and expenses compared to an ER visit. If you are not sure if your child's illness or injury should be seen in an outpatient office setting or if you should seek urgent/emergent care please feel free to call our office for further guidance.

Chronic Illnesses

Let up be part of your team, helping you manage your child's chronic illnesses such as allergies, eczema, and asthma.
Chronic childhood illness is stressors for the child and the family. Daily medications and regimens can become complex, confusing, and overwhelming. Trying to juggle daily life with the addition of the chronicity of a medical illness takes a team approach.

Depression and Mental Health

If you believe your child is struggling with depression or other mental health-related problems please call for an appointment.
It is hard to see your child or adolescent change and suffer from depression or anxiety. As their parent, you want to help fix it or at least understand it. Seeking help is the first step. Let us listen and support you during this hard time. If not us please reach out to someone. Please see a list of links below for resources.

Vaccinations/Immunizations

Routine childhood vaccines are given at recommended wellness exams. Flu vaccines are also offered seasonally.
Routine Vaccinations/Immunizations (from here further referred to as vaccines) are given at recommended intervals that coincide with wellness exams. This schedule is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. If parents wish to follow an alternate schedule this can be discussed on a case by case basis. Please see links below to the recommended schedule and to two Center for Disease Controls website links for more information regarding vaccines.

Contraception

Discussion of age-appropriate reproductive health starts early. Contraception, however, is sensitive topic we can help you and your child navigate when the time is right.
Who better to talk with your adolescent about preventing unwanted pregnancies, practicing safe sexual practices when they are ready, and knowing how to say "no" until they are ready than the health care provider they have grown up talking to about their bodies. We believe in talking to children on an age-appropriate level early in life to become aware of their changing bodies so that they are comfortable talking to us when they need to most. Although as parents this is a hard time we are here to help you and your child have these hard but needed conversations so that you do not have to have even harder ones later. It is important for parents to know that teenagers do have the right to confidentiality when it comes to reproductive health in the state of Texas. As we would take your personal health information confidentiality very seriously we take your child's rights to privacy very seriously also. There are situations where this does not apply if the child is in danger or a danger to others. Please see the link below tot he law applying to this for further clarification if needed.

Sports Physicals

Sports physicals can be completed at your child's wellness exam if you bring your completed form from your child's school or camp with you.

Sports physical forms can be completed at your child's wellness exam. If you just need a sports physical completed we can do that also. However, a sports physical is not the same as a wellness exam as we do not cover development or offer vaccinations.
Lab Work
Lab work at this time is ordered and performed off-site at the lab of your choice. Please check with your insurance provider to see if you have a preferred/in-network lab.
